The Tator Trot

Given that this weekend was Shelley's annual spud Day celebration, the community posted a race for the younger children in the area. This year, we had four children participate in the "Tater Trot".

All of our kids were in the younger half of their age division this year. Despite the age difference between their groups, they all did a terrific job in their races. I think we have a family who likes to run. It was fun to see the kids don their race number tags and hit the pavement running.

It was especially fun to watch Jace do his run. Aylee ran next to him to help him along. Jace insisted on riding his imaginary horse most of the way. He even held his hand out and pretend to carry some reigns as he trotted in his lane.

It is fun to see the kids enjoy running. I hope it is something they carry with them throughout their lives.
