We spent the rest of the time at Ketchikan looking at the various totem poles and reading about their stories and how they were made. We even took a bus to an area that featured several totem poles. It would have cost us about 50 bucks to go visit this place through the ship. However, for one dollar apiece each way we rode the city bus down to the center and toured it on our own. We missed out on a guided tour of the place, but we got to talk to some native locals who told us their own story of their lives there in Ketchikan. It was pretty fun to visit with them.
It was dinner time by the time we reached the ship again. We ate dinner and went to a lounge to listen to some music. The movie, Dan in real life, was playing in our individual state rooms. It was 10 o'clock and we were all pretty tired still from the long walks and hikes of the day. So we'd split up and went to our rooms and try to watch the movie. Amber and I were asleep after the first 20 minutes. :-)
